INTREPED™
The INTREPED™ concept combines the bone ingrowth capacity of the Auxano® surface morphology with the published surgical technique of trephine arthrodesis. This provides a simple, quick and effective surgical intervention option for patients with chronic midfoot arthritis without deformity.
Behind the INTREPED™ Design
The INTREPED™ implant is a hollow dowel that possesses an Auxano® pillared array in a threaded pattern on the exterior. The device can be packed with bone graft material following implantation and has axial and radial fenestrations for bone incorporation throughout the device. The product is 3D printed in titanium alloy.
INTREPED™ was designed with the patient and surgeon in mind. Featuring an expedited surgical technique compared to other midfoot procedures, the minimal joint exposure and recessed implant position can promote patient healing and comfort.
